Low Wi-Fi

Well...
As I second thought...
Internet connection is iffy at best and not at all most of the time...
Mind fully blown but feeling good and so much imput visually and emotionally that I shouldn't even try to form too many words right now...so here are are some of what's turning into hundreds of photos...some of them actually in focus...
Namaste!

Sarnath

Starting to walk around Sarnath a lot...
Deer Park is here which is where the Buddha gave his first teaching on the four noble truths...
There are many temple from all the different schools including this huge statue at a Thai temple...
That's one big Buddha!

In Sarnath

Made it to Sarnath on another difficult trip...I knew this would not be easy at times but I'm having a very hard time right now...
Life has much suffering, here and everywhere, and I do think there is a way to make it better for everyone...
I miss my family and my emotions are a train wreck...
Attempting what seems impossible is very exhausting...
Love to all...

Night time over Greenland

There is a screen on the back on the seats in the plane that has movies and music...I guess no more pull down screens in the front of the cabin...
I saw a very cleaned-up edit of "The internship" comedy...There was no charge so that was cool...
There is also a screen that shows the progress of the flight and as I'm writing, we are cruising over the white spot on the map that is Greenland...
There have been times where I get a lot of word output when traveling by plane...Almost all of the flights I've taken in the last 13 years have been traveling solo so plenty of time to scratch words in a notebook...
Flying into the future this time by tapping on the screen of an iPad resting on a setback tray...
The plane is more or less flying close to the North Pole. I guess it makes for a quicker trip but it's not going to help global warming if a really warm metal plane starts suddenly and unexpectedly melting ice...
Sorry...Not a good joke for now so I won't say it out loud to those around...just everyone else not on the plane...
Encountered a unexpected and expensive situation with luggage when checking in at Air India...
My fault for not knowing the policy that changed drastically between the two different airlines...
It's taken quite a bit a work to put all of this together and I'm sure there will be many more surprises...
Still moving toward to land of the Awakened one but it may be time to try and sleep and start to get used to seeing time in a mirror...
New Delhi/Varanasi is around 12 hours in time difference...
Usual daytime is night and night is a wide awake day...

"We're through the looking glass now..."
Let's see what we can see...

...kinda wish we could stop on Iceland for a day since we're so close...
Maybe next time...(Next time?!?)...you never know...

So far...so good...

Airport

There's a Tootsie's Orchid Lounge at the Nashville airport...
Is that like slot machines in the Las Vegas airport?
Good luck to whoever enters either place...

At the airport

Here at the airport in the first hours of the journey...Awake earlier than usual to be at airport just after 6AM...
One of my favorite musicians, Robert Fripp, seems to always post photos of luggage when traveling...
I am rather new to the blog universe so in honor of Mr. Fripp...

From an announcement invitation from PBC

Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche and the PBC Sangha will Consecrate and Dedicate the Stupa Memorial
in Sarnath, India this Fall in Honor and Memory of
Ven. Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche

In November 2013, students of the Venerable Khenpo Rinpoches are gathering from around the world in
the holy land of Sarnath, India where the Buddha first turned the Wheel of Dharma to celebrate the
inauguration of the Many Doors of Auspiciousness Stupa Memorial in honor and memory of our precious
teacher, the great scholar and master Venerable Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche.

The Stupa Memorial at Orgyen Samye Chökhor Ling Nunnery will be consecrated and dedicated by
Venerable Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche and the PBC monks and nuns on November 24, 2013, the
anniversary of the Buddha's Descent from the Gods Realm, Lha Bab Duchen.

Soon after the consecration ceremonies, everyone is invited to follow in the footsteps of the great masters
and devotees of the past, and go on a guided pilgrimage to some of the sacred places of Buddha
Shakyamuni, including a visit to the PBC Miracle Stupa in Shravasti near Jetavan Grove. For those wishing
to stay longer, we’ll also travel to Bodhgaya, Nalanda, and Vulture’s Peak Mountain where we’ll meditate,
supplicate, and make offerings to all the enlightened beings of the past, present, and future.
